Class trip to Fulda

Fulda is located at the heart of Germany and is known for its university and trade fairs. In close proximity you find the low mountain range "Rhön", where you can hike, go skiing or just relax. The mountain range boasts pristine nature. It was named biosphere reserve by UNESCO. Fulda is very close to the former border with the GDR, that is why you can still learn about Cold War first hand.

Afterwards you will visit Römer, including the magnificent "Emperor Hall".

After lunch you will virtually take to the sky and see "Mainhattan“ from a bird's point of view. That is because you will visit "MAIN TOWER", which is 200 meters high.

Day 2 - Fulda

In the morning:

To discover the most beautiful corners of Fulda, you will join a guided tour of the city's Baroque Quarter. This includes a visit at Fulda Cathedral. St. Bonifaz is buried here. He was a missionary who converted the German tribes to Catholicism.

In the afternoon:

Afterwards you will head over to Fulda Residence. It was erected in the year 1706 and is still used as the town hall. Finally, you will have time to relax at the nearby residence park.

Day 3 - Rhön mountain range

Day trip:

Today you will go on an excursion to Rhön, which locals describe as the "land of open spaces". On top of Rhön's summit, the state's highest peak called Wasserkuppe, you can watch gliders and paragliders take to the sky between April and October.

Discover the Wasserkuppe "Radome", short for radar dome. It is a remnant of the Cold War. It was used to intercept radio messages from the GDR. Nowadays it is used as a viewing platform.

To conclude your trip, you will take the summer tobogganing course and whiz downhill.

Day 4 - Würzburg

In the morning:

After breakfast you are embarking on a tip to the Bavarian North. The city of Würzburg will be your destination. It is renowned for its baroque and rococo architecture. You will marvel at the splendour during a guided tour of Würzburg Residence (as part of UNSESCO's world heritage sites).

In the afternoon:

After lunch you will cross the city and travel to Marienburg Fortress. From the medieval building you have a brilliant view over the local vineyards along river Main. The Franconian region is famous for its wineries.
